BESKID Project Meeting

The BMBF-funded BESKID project started in October 2022. The aim of the project is to develop and validate new AI-based methods for calculating design fires in rail transport. Representatives of the institutions involved met for the network meeting:
- BCL Leipzig
- TÜV SÜD Rail GmbH
- Jülich Research Centre
- Rheinbahn AG
- Ruhrbahn GmbH
- Technical Institute of Fire Protection, Prague
- VDI Technology Centre [project management agency]
- University of Wuppertal
Two chairs at the BUW are involved in the project: Prof. Fabian Brännström and we. The project is coordinated by the University of Wuppertal (Prof. Lukas Arnold).
