Kick-Off BESKID Project

On 14.11.2022, the kick-off meeting of the BESKID project took place.

The BESKID project, funded by the BMBF, started in October 2022. The aim of the project is to develop and validate new AI-based methods for the calculation of design fires in rail transport. Representatives of the involved institutions met for the kick-off meeting:

  • BCL Leipzig
  • TÜV SÜD Rail GmbH
  • Research Center Jülich
  • Ruhrbahn GmbH
  • VDI Technology Center [Project Management Agency]
  • University of Wuppertal 

Two chairs of BUW are involved in the project: Prof. Fabian Brännström and us. The project is coordinated by the University of Wuppertal (Prof. Lukas Arnold). 

A project website is currently under construction.
